Coaching = Get to the Core of the Issue

Coaching, you have to get to the core of the issue and you don't have a lot of time, right? What did my science said? I'll solve any problem in your business, and how much time? 

10 minutes.

10 minutes. So how much time that I have for diagnosis? 30 seconds. Oh, I've got a partner who's a little. I got a hair salon. I've got this. I gotta have that. Well, okay, let me ask a few clarifying–I don't have time for that. I have to know right away. What's your issue? Or what is behind your issue? You gave me a question. We call that in coaching surface structure. I've got to peel back the onion, I got 30 seconds to do it and then best of my ability, I asked you some questions to get to a point where you have some direction, okay? Now in order to do that, I can't have a whole minefield here for me, I have to have sorted out me a little bit,right? And so I could just be in or in this community for this long. I can tell there's still some of that going along and it's great because coaching is one of the best places to do it. It's one of the hardest disciplines ever to learn. But one of the benefits of what you're doing as an expert, as somebody out there helping each other and helping others is you have to help yourself first. You have to get through you. You will be your toughest client, you handle you? The rest of the outside world. Not so bad. Pretty easy. You will be the hardest you have to deal with, okay?
