What does it mean to be in the winter season of business? Carl shares some insights and what it means for the coming years.

Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results.

Following every world conflict for the last five hundred years we have initiated these four seasons: spring, summer, fall and winter. We find ourselves right now in winter but our last spring was 1946 to 64. That was the baby boomers following world war II then 65 to 85 gen xers, right? And then at 2005 through-- (I’m sorry) 1985 to 2005 that was the fall--that’s the harvest but in 2005 we entered winter and it is anticipated we will go through 2029 in our current winter. Yeah, yeah we’re in this for a bit, we’re not out of the anytime soon but at the minimum--at the minimum four more years and the reason why that is predicted, that will go four more years is that during the Obama administration, during the financial--global financial meltdown there were a number of entitlement and subsidy programs that are extending that recovery, so it’s likely to push winter out few more years.
