There are fifty seven million freelancers working in the United States right now, that is up according to Upworks well over 20% and there an additional 2 million people who said that they had done freelance work during the pandemic, so here’s what we're noticing. People were working remote and hybrid, right? During the pandemic, guess what they started doing? Side hustles from home. Can’t go in the office and have your side hustle, so now they’re gonna go back to the office, I can’t do my side gig anymore, my side hustle. Well now I wanna work from home or I found--I can make equal if not more money at home then I did at my job so I’ll quit and start my freelance business or I wanna stay home so I could still work my side hustle, that’s happening a lot more than people are realize and we now have a third of the workforce has claim to have done a side hustle or--or a project remotely during the pandemic, think of that a third of the--a third of the employee base.
