Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results.
Go to international trade shows and all that, you will see the same people showing up over and over again, same venders come, you know people travel in similar circles. I see some of the books you have and some of the things you have accessorized and I know half of these people, right? Because we travel in the same circle. You know if I go on a speaking circuit I see other speakers you know and so word can get around. So, in the pre-social media or just in today’s world, in the word of mouth world you get around the influencers because they affect a lot of people so when you go to a trade show always make sure no matter what, you talk to the exhibitors cause they’re not just exhibiting there, there exhibiting at other places. If you go to a networking group, meet the board, whoever they are because they’re not just a board on that networking group they are the board somewhere at, they’re board members here, they’re board members somewhere else. And so I got around influencers who had--who were a bit of multiplier so if I had--if I knew somebody who is a coach, they would know other coaches and so I would say “hey listen, I specialize in entrepreneurial coaching” and they would say “oh that’s great cause I do life coaching, I’m always getting request for entrepreneurial coaching”, so I say “cool, so if ever I need an H.R coach, I recommend you, you recommend me”.
