Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results.
So last year in April we have a--we have a factory direct mattress manufacturer and retailer built in the back showroom in the front. Ron says to me “we can only have 10 people in the whole show room even if I send everybody from the manufacture--factory home, I still have to have 3 people in the showroom, that means I can only have 7potential clients in the showroom in any given time I might just close--I might just close” so I said “Ron, before we do that--before we do that, okay? What are people always asking you for or what are they complimented you for?” Let’s look at your reviews, let’s look at the feedback you're getting on social media, your surveys, what are they saying they really love? And it was the shopping experience, low-pressure shopping experience. I said “now this gonna sound a little crazy Ron, but here’s what we’re gonna do, we’re gonna lower the capacity of your showroom down even further” and they said--he said “why why why why why would we do that--why would we do that? I said here’s what we’re gonna do, but we’re gonna rename it, what are people really asking for? They’re asking for a VIP shopping experience.
