Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results.

One of the things that I work with clients on at the very beginning almost a hundred percent across the board is their pricing strategy. You as a business have to optimize and maximize your pricing in other words every bit that your clients are willing to pay for your services you need to charge it and it’s not about being greedy, it’s about having enough money and enough margin to pay for mid level managers, insurance, all the legitimate business expenses that allow you to build a sustainable company that runs on it’s own. To have all of those aspects in place you need to maximize how much you're charging, you need to be being paid among the top in your industry and that's what’s gonna allow you to be sustainable because here’s what happens. You start a business, you’re doing great and maybe you have good prices or you discount your pricing and then you say--you wake up one day and say “you know, it’s kinda hard to do this everyday, I don’t know how much longer I can do this, I need to bring on staff to replace me” well--so you have to pay people that have non revenue generating positions like a bookkeeper, like an administrator, like a manager you know and these people might not be revenue generating and the rest may be enough margin to pay for them.
