Hi everyone, Carl Gould here with your #70secondCEO. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results.
If you’re positioning your business for sale its--the business has to be a machine that runs without you. You know you’re building an automobile and then you're teaching somebody else to drive it and the less that the business relies on you on a day in, day out basis the more saleable your business is, if somebody looks at your business and says “well jezz if he and leaves, half of the clients go with him," well the business is worth a lot less than if you were to say "well if I buy the business and he up and leaves and all the clients are under contract and is monthly recurring or annual recurring revenue or you know everything is transferable or clients don’t know who he is then the business is actually more valuable," so putting the processes in place, having the intellectual property meaning the secret sauce that is unique only to you and you’ve got the package, promoted or protected it and you have somebody who generates leads and somebody who creates those leads in the sales and somebody who’s in charge of fulfilling those orders in place, you have very salable assets.
