The Cloquet office of Carlson Orthodontics is located at 708 Stanley Avenue (near Walmart). They offer a suite of services for braces, treatments, and retainers. Treatments include Phase 1, SureSmile, Same Day Braces, Invisalign, and Impressionless. The practice became Carlson Orthodontics in 2008, and today, it has a strong regional tri-state office presence with locations including Duluth, Cloquet, Superior, Ashland, and Ironwood.
Duluth orthodontist Dr. Chris Carlson was born and raised in Ironwood, MI, attended the University of Michigan, and pursued orthodontist education, becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Carlson joined Dr. Fellman in 2003 when he began his orthodontic practice. In June 2023, Dr. Jake Schroeder joined the Carlson Orthodontics team. Dr. Schroeder was born and raised in Elk River, MN, with degrees from the University of Minnesota and its School of Dentistry, holding several professional dental memberships.
Community involvement is at the backbone of Carlson Orthodontics, allowing the office to build lasting relationships further and connect with families. In the Cloquet Office, they have sponsored the Cloquet River Run, Pedal the Pines, Trunk or Treat, the Blue Jean Ball, and most recently, were a part of the Cloquet Educational Foundation Library night for the kids. They also sponsor the Minnesota Wilderness and have a board at the rink. Carlson Orthodontics also participated in the Carlton County Labor Day Celebration and donated toys to the Cloquet police department to hand out at National Night Out and to the Cloquet Fire Department to use in crises. Carlson Orthodontics sponsors many other teams, organizations, benefits, and silent auctions.
“Word of mouth is our strongest referral system,” shared Sam Aho, Administrative Director. “Our Olympic-themed celebrations honor our patients’ journeys to their smiles.” The staff of Carlson Orthodontics often rotates across the tri-state regional offices, meeting a breadth of clients.
