Monique Attinger is a certified holistic nutritionist and renowned expert on the plant compound called oxalate and histamine intolerance. She has over 15 years of experience treating, researching, and teaching about how to navigate low oxalate and low histamine diets.

It was an honor to welcome back Monique to the podcast for my second Q&A episode. We had listeners submit their questions beforehand on Instagram as follows;

1. Do the symptoms from oxalate dumping get weaker as time goes by, or can they come on stronger but less often?

2. Do you think it is better to ride the oxalate symptoms out as you get a bad attack or to stop the “dumping” process with some tea or chocolate, for example?

3. What would you say are the most common oxalate dumping symptoms?

4. When first going low-carb / carnivore, is it true that you may not experience any dumping symptoms for months or even years down the road?

5. Approx how long on a low ox diet until dumping symptoms are not as severe and frequent.

7. How long does it take to heal histamine intolerance when slowly going low ox?

Serena Musick has an incredible healing story of disordered eating to share.

From the time she was 12 (when she bought her first diet pills) she went on a roller coaster ride with her weight and health, literally trying almost every diet out there.

That all changed when she caught covid in 2020 and had to stop eating many foods because during recovery her senses of taste and smell were altered so badly it became debilitating. She found the carnivore way of eating and has not looked back. Serena freed herself from the diet mentality and is now coaching and promoting this way of eating through her social media platforms and network called "The Carnivore Revolution."

It was an honor to chat with Serena.

We discussed her journey, fasting, her current challenge of 75 hard, her advice to people starting out on the Carnivore Diet and much more.

Valerie was diagnosed in 1984 at the age of 14 with anorexia nervosa. She suffered for a total of 34 years. She is 5'9" and her lowest bmi was 11.8. Not only that, she spent most of the 34 years at 80 lbs. Doctors/dieticians pushed plant based heavy carbs, no fat and low protein on her. She believed them that it did not matter what she ate as long as her was weight restored. Her brain was broken with obsessive racing thoughts and screaming voices that kept her in bondage and active severe starvation on purpose. In 2017 after 33 years of severe anorexia, Valerie was eating less than 300 calories each day. In 2018, she began researching and reading exactly what brains need to work properly and after discovering YouTube videos with Dr. Ken Berry, Sally K. Norton, Amber O'hearn, Dr. Shawn Baker and others, she went "all in" on the Carnivore Diet and never looked back. She has been completely healed for 5 years and Valerie is now the wife, mother and daughter that she has always wanted to be.

For a young woman, Olyveya has already had her fair share of illness. After mold exposure and catching mononucleosis, she then had radiation poisoning (three times) and discovered she had heavy metals and parasites as well. Through the guidance of her mother and moving to a less toxic environment, she finally began to heal. Once she started to address her toxicities and combined that with the Carnivore diet, Olyveya began to experience life as she never had before.
