At the age of 21 years old, Burgette was in a horrific car crash, which shattered her face, and her dreams of modelling. But from that adversity, rose the most incredible woman, who now empowers others to also overcome obstacles and unleash their full potential.

In today's edition of Women Crush Wednesday, Carol Ofori hosted Ros Toerien in studio. Ros is a proudly South African mother of three young children. She holds a Bachelor Of Education degree, and is a writer, speaker and creator with a passion for uplifting others and unlocking purpose.

Ros is the CEO and Founder of the South African Non-Profit Trust 'The LEARN Project' which stands for: ‘Let’s Educate A Rainbow Nation’ and aims to equip disadvantaged schools with libraries and book corners.

Ros also hosts journaling and vision board workshops with a focus on ‘Remember your why, find your purpose.’

Ros is a published children’s book author with her first two books selling out of the first print run within three months.

Carol Ofori had a conversation with IEC Head of Outreach in KZN Dr Nonhlanhla Hlongwane to get an update on where we are with the upcoming elections on 29 May. Dr Hlongwane also perfectly explained the three ballot system and had some advice for South Africans on voting day.
