Sadly, we live in a society that has an increasing aversion to commitment. But understanding what the right kind of commitment looks like is one of the most important elements of a healthy relationship. It’s modeled by God, exemplified by Jesus, and encouraged by the Spirit. In this message, we will talk about how important commitment is and what it produces in a relationship when we look at it the right way.

What does it take to love well? On this Mother’s Day Sunday we probably think about that more than ever. We all had different examples of what love looks like, but we know that in Jesus we have an example that is Love Himself. As we start this series, we will look to Him to find one of the foundations of a healthy love.

Why, if we have been set free, do we go on living as if we aren’t? The answer is fear. Fear puts us in chains while God wants to set us free. In this message, we will put an exclamation point on our series as we commit to living free.

So many times in life we ask for forgiveness of sin but hold on to the weight of the shame that comes with it. If we hold on to that shame can we ever really be free? This week will will learn how to let the Holy Spirit convict us while not letting the Devil shame us.

If we don’t live under a list of rules as we talked about last week, how are we supposed to live? What do we do with sin and its role in our life? How can we be confident we are doing the right things? In this message, we will talk about the better path God has in front of us!

Religion is about rules, right? Most people think of a good-works scorecard when they think about Christianity. Is that really what it is? If not, how are we supposed to think about our faith and how we live it out in freedom.

Easter. The day we remember the most important event in human history. This is the central moment of our faith and if we want to live the way God designed us to, we need to understand what this moment means for us. We will start that conversation in this message.

Jesus said the second command was like the first one, love your neighbor as yourself. But what is this love supposed to look like? Who is our neighbor? And what if you don’t think you love yourself very much? What do we do with this?

Jesus was once asked, “What is the most important commandment.” What He said was simple and to the point, but it was also incredibly deep and meaningful. He mentioned two things particularly. In this message, we will look at the first of those two things in detail. In the process, we will find out the best way for us to live.

Spiritual hunger shows itself in different ways, so it requires different responses. This week we will see someone who has intellectual questions about Jesus’ message. As Jesus responds to him, we will learn how to spiritually feed someone who is trying to make sense of faith.
