Now, it’s time. Jesus is the King and He’s coming to Jerusalem for His final Passover feast. How will He be received? In this message, we will see the reception He gets and be challenged to respond ourselves.

After Jesus does an incredible miracle, everyone who witnesses it is forced to make a decision on who they believe Jesus is. We, like them, have to make the same choice. In these verses, Jesus shows us that He is the better choice.

Jesus can set you free! Not many people think of Him that way, but that was the whole goal of His ministry. In our passage this week we see the heat rise and the contrast increase between Jesus and the religious leaders. Like everyone else listening, we have to look at what they say and how they live to answer the question, “Who do we believe?”

Finally, the Pharisees think they can trap Jesus into saying something arrestable. But Jesus will not be fooled and He seizes the opportunity to teach us something very important about the way He views people who have failed.

It is a difficult thing to shift gears from what we’ve always been told and the people who we have trusted. But when we are face-to-face with the truth of Jesus, that’s a decision worth making. In this message, we see people confronting that reality and living with their choices.

What happens when you put Jesus in front of a hungry crowd with no food in sight? He makes a meal appear out of nowhere! But the purpose behind this miracle is much more than just satisfying physical appetites, it creates an opportunity for Him to teach them how to satisfy a much more meaningful craving.

The biggest question surrounding Jesus was, “Who is He?” Until this part of John he had only answered that question quietly. But now He is about to answer it loudly. In this message, we will look more closely at who Jesus claimed to be and how we can trust Him.
