Carolina Krayts

The usual crew is back for Episode 8!  For once, there isn't a tournament to travel to so Ben, Chris, and Tyler get together to talk:

• THE BOUNTY
• THE NEW BOUNTY
• Challenge mynocks to an epic duel to the death
• Loopin Chewie World Championships
• Wave 11
• The Post-FAQ meta
• And a bunch of nonsense

Shoutout again for the help with the KRAYT Promos!

In this episode, Indiana Regional Champion THE Zack Mathews goes on a solo mission and channels his inner KRAYT.  The Zack Mathews repeats his KRAYT CUP performance and carries the team, telling random people to GIT GUD, interviewing Chris "Chico" Brown about judging, Nathan Eide about not gitting gud enough to win a System Open, and surviving the dreaded Howard road trip.

Actual content?!?!  Chris Allen and our one listener Travis Johnson sit down and talk about where the meta is going after the large FAQ change.  We talk about the pros and cons of erratas, and what we might expect in the future based on what we've seen previously in X-Wing and other games.  Speaking of the effects of the FAQ, what's going to keep mindlink boats in check?  Does anything?

Oh no, the episode numbers actually make sense now!  Duncan Howard, Jeremy Howard, and Chris Allen try to pass the time (and also not die) on the drive back from the Naboo System Open in Syracuse.

Most of the discussion is just salt overflowing everywhere as we complain about Imperials not completely dominating the meta for one tournament which is obviously unacceptable, and other topics like why we're all so bad for not winning the System Open.  Paul Heaver brings it home, immediately after THE Zack Mathews called him out for winning literally nothing but worlds three times previously.  Chris went 0-2 drop and recorded rounds 4 and onwards, which will be edited and uploaded to the Carolina Krayts YouTube channel soon™

Episode 3!  The last one before the numbers start making sense, sadly.  Bounty recap, extremely intoxicated recap of KRAYT CUP 2 and the FAQ drop with Ben Keller, Chris Allen, THE Zack Mathews, Blake McKenzie, Jeremy Howard, and Duncan Howard.

Listen to them R2, they're dying!

Episode 2, in which we discuss KRAYTani, krayt cup and the jm5k. First appearance of Zack's filthy casual corner where he discusses other ways to play X-Wing.  Chris guesses the shirt size of nova players in between calling out the game developers and random players we've never met by name. Premium backers can find out what we said that was bad enough for us to go back and edit it.

Ben, Chris and Tyler talk about their experiences at the Mustafar System Open. Ben has far too much to drink and makes Chris learn how to do basic audio editing...

We talk about the meta for the only Wave 9.5 System Open and the end of X-Wing on February 2nd with the release of wave 10.  Also, we are way too harsh on volunteer staff judging and helping than is reasonable and suck at math.   It turns out 34 + 34 + 33 does not fit inside 100.
