n a wild turn of events, our own local Coffee & Cars event decided it was high time we ban an entire collective of American #musclecars. From #Camaros to #Mustangs, to #Chargers, all of them are now on a list of unwelcome vehicles.

From Toyota showing off their newest GR, Gazoo Racing sports car, the Toyota FT Se concept, Mazda showcasing a return to beautiful car design, with the Iconic SP Concept, and Nissan giving us an alien-level concept, with the Hyper Force Concept, the Tokyo Mobility Show had something for everyone.

For many, having the words Hybrid and Corvette in the same sentence is borderline criminal.

So, clearly, I am not around… well I am around, but not in my normal habitat.

Salutations and welcome… we are back at it again with Episode 30 of CarQuicks.



Now… considering there is nothing short of 7.5 million combinations and specs to have with a Porsche 911, you’d be forgiven for thinking we have seen all the iterations the 911 could be turned into.



Well you’re mistaken, we dive into the quick news Porsche gave out with the surprise reveal of the GT3 R Rennsport. 



Along with this news, Honda is revealing more information on their General Motors collar on their first ever full-electric SUV, the Prologue. Will the GM affiliation hurt their sales? We will have to see.



Aston Martin has been busy creating supercar and hypercar masterpieces and rounds out the Valykerie launch with the introduction of the Valhalla.

Tesla has their rivals getting a bit worried about the pending Cybertruck reveal, I learned that there was a rare JDM classic I never knew about, the GR Corolla is due for modifications very soon and Toyota has a mystery small SUV in the wings ready to be revealed.

Toyota has given you what you have asked for... ultra-luxury, Rolls-Royce-esque accouterments, wrapped up in the reliability Toyota is known for.

After a bit of R&R in the clear waters of the Caribbean... I'm back to my usual shenanigans with the podcast.

And we got some exciting news...It is an EV, electric car-heavy episode, but one of the critical moments here is the death of an ICON to the hot hatches, the end of an era for us drivers, to those who row their own gears, this one hits home, as a previous GTi owner.

However, this news brings in the future and one that does not look as bad as we might have thought.

Alongside that news, Mercedes released a concept of the soon-to-be entry-level luxury EV.... and it looks... ok from the outside (to my eyes). Mini releases their new take on what an EV Mini should be. Nissan is changing to another iconic nameplate and the streets will never be the same. Alfa Romeo shows off that they still know how to design a beautiful car and some exciting updates on the future GR Corolla episodes.

Ford clearly has been busy and somehow while creating the new Mustang, built what is arguably their GT3 Mustang racecar for the street. Aimed squarely at the Europenas supercars and Porsche GT3s. And what they served up is more than a viable opponent... this is not your neighbor's 5.0.

Alongside, the Mustang news we have exciting news out of Monterey Car Week, with hypercars dropping like new SUVs this week, each commanding millions of dollars. Lotus takes us back to our past and someone spends 2 million dollars... on what used to be a car.

And while most manufacturers are busy announcing their latest electric cars, hypercars, and sports cars, Mitsubishi is doing the opposite... and is cutting ties with a long-standing model.

REJOICE MY OVERLANDERS! The next great rig for additional shovels and cherry cans has arrived! Your rooftop tents never looked better! 

#Toyota finally stopped all the teasing and dropped the new 2024 Land Cruiser, which looks great. There are some fundamental changes and some die-hard, true, thoroughbred Land Cruiser lovers will quickly point out that not everything is how it seems.

But we have a SOLID option that looks clean, is not poorly designed, has a reputable company name behind it, and has the chops to traverse most terrain.

Alongside that news, #Nissan has done the unthinkable with the latest #Nismo Z... it's almost a bad dream, but it's actually a reality. A sad reality.

#Porsche has once again dropped what we always say is "the greatest Porsche ever" until the next "greatest Porsche ever", #Fisker has rejuvenated their brand with eh Ocean electric crossover and #AMG hits the record scratch on putting 4-cylinder engines in their flagship vehicles.

Subaru shows us once again how badly missed a new WRX STi is and Acura teases a returned nameplate.
