Correction: At one point, Laura said the last frost date in Idaho is around April 10th but she misspoke. It is actually around May 10th. The date to plant carrots is 2-3 weeks before this, so around April 15th or so.

Recipe for tincture that is shared in this video: 1 part yarrow, 1 part elder flowers, 1 part peppermint. Combine and cover with vegetable glycerin in a glass jar. Quick extraction method: place a loose lid on the jar then place jar in a pot of boiling water but do not cover completely with water. Boil for 2 hours then strain out the herbs. Slow extraction method: Place jar in a cool dark place and shake the jar every day for 6 weeks then strain out the herbs.
