Why does a great product still fail to scale?

In many $1M to $5M companies, Product becomes king. That sounds right, but it creates a hidden risk. When Product operates in isolation, teams lose sight of business fundamentals like positioning, routes to market, customer journeys, and sales alignment.
A strong product alone does not drive growth. Growth happens when Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience move together toward the same outcome. When those pieces are disconnected, even great products struggle to win consistently.
The fastest-growing CEOs I see treat Product as part of an ecosystem, not a silo. They balance the product vs. business reality.
