Here’s a prayer that I hope I never hear you pray. It can be found in Luke 14:18. Here’s what it says: “They all with one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a piece of ground, and I must go and see it. I ask you to have me excused.’” 

The expression “I ask” really means “I pray.” In other words, “I pray to be excused.” To hear people make excuses is telling God, “I have investments in this world that I have to look after. Please excuse me from your invitation. I don’t have time to be fully given to it.” 

When we excuse ourselves from the work of God, we essentially push away from His table and vacate the very place where He intended us to be. Thank God He keeps inviting us to participate in His work. Thank God today that He never gives up on us. 

It’s time to pray. 

Psalm 32:1 says, “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.”

Do you seek to be blessed today? If so, turn to God and allow Him to forgive your sins. Being blessed means living under divine favor—safeguarded by a power that may be unseen, yet is deeply felt by those who embrace it.

You may face the same hardships as those around you, but if you know your sins are forgiven, if you trust that heaven is your eternal home, and if you stand assured that there’s no condemnation against you—then when you come before God, you will be welcomed into His presence forever.

This profound knowledge brings a comfort that transcends anything this world can offer. It’s a peace that can’t be created through exuberance or human effort. It is a gift from God Himself—a blessing of eternal, inward peace.

Confess your burdens to God, and today, accept His forgiveness.

My friend, there is a song that God has placed in your heart—a shout that comes from being gripped by the Holy Spirit of Almighty God. Praise be to God.

For those listening today, consider opening your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ and inviting Him into your life as your Lord and Savior. Acknowledge that you can’t save yourself, and believe in your heart that God sent His Son to die on a cross in your place. Confess Him as your Lord and Savior.

If you do this, the Bible clearly states that you will be saved. That means forgiven—the price and penalty for all the wrong you’ve done against God will be paid, and heaven will be your home. He will receive you, forgive you, and everything He’s won for you will become yours.

He will guide you, heal you, and give you a new song—along with the ability to hear the melody He sings over you.

Take this step of faith and experience His transformative love today.

Psalm 32:7 says, “You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.”

When was the last time you felt the Holy Spirit—or the Son of God—singing over you? As you walk through your days, have you paused to listen for the melodies of God’s love and protection?

Scripture assures us that He sings over us. What an incredible thought—imagine the sound of that song! It must be beautiful beyond words.

Today, open your heart and your ears to your heavenly Father. Seek the song, and embrace the comfort and hope it brings.

Before Jesus returns, He spoke to us about a season of wars. He warned of kingdoms rising against kingdoms, of famines, and of diseases sweeping across the world. Everything we’ve trusted in will be shaken.

He described a time when the people of God would be abandoned and betrayed, when false voices claiming to represent God would rise and try to lead many astray. Lawlessness will increase, and the love in many hearts will grow cold—cold to the true work of God on the earth, which is the redemption of the lost.

Yet in the midst of it all, Jesus promises to give each of us endurance to make it to the end. This is not a human endurance—it is strength given by the Holy Spirit.

Ask God for it today.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reflects the words of Jesus: “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends” (John 15:13).

As we honor these heroes today, we also find comfort in God’s promises. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18).

If today brings sorrow, may you find peace in knowing that God sees, God cares, and God holds every tear. Let’s not take for granted the freedoms we enjoy. Let’s pray for the families who continue to bear the weight of this loss.

May God bless you, and may He continue to bless this nation. Be thankful for those who gave their all so that you and I can live in freedom. And when we pray, let’s always remember this cost.

I don’t know what our generation will face in the future, but I sense it won’t be easy. The Bible warns us of wars, rumors of wars, famines, and pestilence—signs of disruption on nearly every level. This world is experiencing birth pains, anticipating the return of Jesus Christ. A worldwide rebellion against His lordship is looming.

Yet even now, you and I have a chance to turn to God with all our hearts and seek His forgiveness. Today, you can receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Even in the midst of the floods surrounding you, you can choose to shout for joy and declare, as King David once did: “I will trust in God.”

Though the mountains may fall into the sea and the waters may rise, keep your heart steadfast in faith. Embrace this opportunity that God has given you to trust Him fully.

Talk to Him.

We find ourselves in a time when turmoil seems rampant. Social unrest, cultural divides, and personal struggles create a whirlwind of confusion. In this environment, a torrent of often misleading opinions circulates, with everyone claiming to have the answers.

Yet amidst this noise, there is one voice that rises above it all—the voice of God.

It is His voice that calls us to safety, offering a message of forgiveness and urging us to seek something solid and unchanging in a world full of uncertainty.

Let us tune into His powerful voice today and allow it to guide our thoughts and actions. As we do, we can become beacons of hope and joy in a world that so desperately needs it. Through kindness, encouragement, or simply sharing your joy, let your voice be heard—proclaiming God’s good news to those around you.

It’s time to pray.

Psalm 32:6 says, “For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You in a time when You may be found; surely in a flood of great waters, they shall not come near him.”

In challenging times—when trials, negativity, and condemnation surround you—turn to Christ with confidence. God promises His protection, assuring that while troubles may flow around you, they will not harm you. Isn’t that incredible?

He wraps you in His arms and assures you that He will never leave or forsake you. He will be a friend who stays closer than a brother.

Seek Him with an honest heart today.

My brother, my sister, it's time to pray.

The apostle Paul told Timothy that those who labor must first partake of the fruits—urging a deep understanding of this principle. He also pointed out the danger of hypocrisy: preaching against actions that one practices in secret.

It’s alarming to witness so much spiritual blindness in ministry today—individuals living immorally while still leading large congregations, as if they’re exempt from the truth they proclaim.

I once had a conversation with an apologist and confronted him about the darkness I saw within him. His brilliance allowed him to manipulate Scripture, risking his own spiritual well-being. Thankfully, he listened.

It’s far better to be a humble person who finishes well than to pursue wisdom just for its own sake. Our goal must be to apply God’s wisdom in our own lives first—before sharing it with others.

Let’s live authentically, making sure our hearts are truly aligned with God’s truth.
