Cartwright! A Seinfeld Podcast

Seinfeld Episode 10 (Season 3) Summary: “George strands Jerry and Elaine at a Long Island party because his sexy co-worker came onto him. The party host (Michael Chiklis) later visits Jerry in the city and has fun with Kramer and a hooker.”

Original air date: November 27, 1991

“The Stranded” is a weird episode! Not only was it supposed to air during season two, making all the stuff with George and his co-workers seem odd in season three because he already quit his job, but it almost felt like two different stories. Like with most of the oddball episodes though, Adam and Corey had a lot more fun breaking it down than they did watching it. The latter half, at least (the first half is quite good)!

Seinfeld Episode 9 (Season 3) Summary: “Jerry dates a sexy but shallow actress, forcing him to evaluate whether his penis or his brain rules his relationships. Kramer encourages George’s girlfriend Audrey to get a nose job, which goes horribly wrong.”

Original air date: November 20, 1991

The “sexy but shallow actress” mentioned in the summary is none other than 80’s music video vixen, Tawny Kitaen! That’s pretty cool…to those of us older than 30! Does Tawny’s guest spot take the show to a new level or is it all a ruse and there isn’t much meat on the bone? Listen and find out!

Seinfeld Episode 8 (Season 3) Summary: “George orders a miracle baldness cure from China. Elaine leaves an erotic message on Jerry’s tape recorder. Her dirty-mouthed practical joke spurs sexual interest in her from the guys, especially George.”

Original air date: November 13, 1991

Oofa…The Tape. Spoiler alert: this was not a favorite episode of Seinfeld for Adam or Corey, but they still had a lot of fun going off on different tangents and discussions while reviewing it. Proving the point once more that sometimes weaker Seinfeld eps actually make for better, if not more lively, conversations!

Seinfeld Episode 7 (Season 3) Summary: “A small failing restaurant brings out Jerry’s sympathy, but when the owner, Babu Bhatt, takes his advice, things go from bad to worse. Elaine helps George cheat on an IQ test but their caper backfires thanks to Kramer and his stolen jacket.”

Original air date: November 6, 1991

"You're a bad man! Very, very bad!"

But is Jerry really a bad man? Adam and Corey may not agree on how much they like or dislike this episode but they do agree that Jerry’s advice was actually pretty damn good! When it comes to restaurant themes, it’s better to be focused. Do you agree with our assessment of this episode? Leave a comment on our Facebook page and let us know!

Seinfeld Episode 6 (Season 3) Summary: “After shopping for an air conditioner, Jerry and the gang are unable to locate Kramer’s car in a mall parking lot.”

Original air date: October 30, 1991

Full disclosure: with no scene breaks, this episode was really tough to break down and discuss in chronological order! Good thing Adam and Corey are season pros so they only muddle their way through 40% of the show lol. Have fun with this classic episode of Seinfeld!
