Gabrielle Brownfield grew up skateboarding with her dad and has been a big part of the Ohio skate scene for most of her life. As a young adult, Gabby had the opportunity to take part in several high-profile skate competitions in California, including Combi and Exposure. Natalie Porter is a skateboarder and author, who uses herlibrarian superpowers to curate and maintain the Womxn Skateboard History (https://womxnskatehistory.ca/)website, the most comprehensive database of female skaters from the 1940s to 2010s. She has compiled a select group of skate stories into her new book, ‘Girl Gangs, Zines and Powerslides’, released in September 2025. Anita Tessensohn Sanford is a true trailblazer in women’sskateboarding, from her gnarly street skating in the 80s when girl street skaters were a rarity to her appearance in Powell’s 1987 Some Girls Play With Dolls, Real Women Skate ad. The skate world is getting reintroduced to Anita today, thanks to her appearance on the Bones Brigade Audio Show nearly two years ago. Anita has found a rekindled love of skating as a mature adult and was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame in 2023. Anita now continuesher skate journey and shares her love of skating with the next generation of skaters in her hometown of Eugene, Oregon.

From an early encounter with women’s vert at X Games in Philly at age 12 to a professional skating career as the “Polish Wrecking Ball”, Amelia Brodka has made a life from the sport she loves.
