A Hollywood Hills brush fire stops a big party at Mark and David's new house which brings back a bad memory for Kelly. Meanwhile, Steve's flirtation results in serious consequences; and Valerie gives Kenny an ultimatum.

Steve's "harmless prank" with his fraternity lands Brandon in hot water, Donna lobbies to get a jock into her sorority, and Kelly is heartbroken when Jimmy dies.

When David decides to quit school he not only has to deal with his father's disapproval but also Donna's. Brandon and Mark audition anchors for their news show, Kelly learns an important lesson about AIDS, and Valerie forces Kenny to choose between her and his wife.
