Alabama and Michigan closed the college card with the biggest total on the board at 174.5 and Michigan laying 9.5. Dave went Alabama with the points, crediting the Crimson Tide for handling better tournament competition than Michigan despite missing their suspended star Holloway, while questioning whether the Wolverines had truly been tested after wins over Howard and St. Louis. The MLB segment landed just as the season officially opened, with both hosts aligned on the Boston Red Sox at plus 320 in the AL East, pointing to Garrett Crochet as a Cy Young candidate and the division's best overall rotation.
