So far in this series we have learned about the need to SEE Jesus, and HEAR Jesus, and today we learn about the fact that we are called to SERVE Jesus. Christianity is not merely a saying faith...it is a serving faith! Jesus says, "If anyone serves me, he must follow me; and where I am, there will my servant be also. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him." (John 12:26)

Christmas can be a very busy time of year where people lose focus on what Christmas is really about: Jesus. During this time, it would be good to slow down and actually listen to Jesus and pay attention to what he has to say about who he is and what he came to do.

We make Christmas about so much more, but it's about Jesus. He is the central person of Christmas. The season of advent is about the arrival  of Jesus in a world of sin and darkness. If anything, we should use this time of year to point people back to the fact that God came to live with man, that man may live with God.

There has been much interest and also speculation concerning the kingdom of God. Jesus answers the Pharisees about the kingdom, yet explains that it had already begun as He was the king in their presence.  He also explains to the disciples that judgment will come just like it did in the days of Noah and Lot. People did life like normal and with no concern for the coming judgment. Christians are to live in this reality of Christ's coming and judgement.

Over the years I have met many people who have come to church in desperation for healing or help and quickly leave once God helps, yet never give God thanks. It is a heart condition that wants the blessings but not the blesser. In fact, it is evidence of the last days, according to the Apostle Paul (2 Tim. 3:2). In this message we'll learn that giving thanks says something about your heart.

Most of our culture knows October 31st, only as Halloween, but it's actually All Hallow's Eve, the day before All Saints Day. For Protestants, many celebrate it as, Reformation Day. Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of the church in Wittenberg, Germany on Oct. 31st and sparked an unstoppable movement that changed history. In this message, we will learn about the Protestant Reformation and how God used Luther (and others) to return His people to the scriptures. They had lived in years of religious darkness, but faithful saints helped return the church to the light.

In recent years there has been an increasing interest and celebration of Halloween. In this message we will learn about the history of Halloween and our need to utilize this time to share the gospel of Jesus, that our holy God has authority over demons and evil spirits and he and only he has overcome sin and death. Jesus has come to give life.

Christians are called to work, but a generation of people in our culture are doing the bare minimal and this worldly spirit has infiltrated the church. This message is a reminder that we are called to give God our best, not our least or leftovers or even what is expected. We want to give God our best because we love him and love to serve in his mission. We are called to do more.

We are celebrating 100 years of ministry in Casper. We have a rich spiritual legacy of winning people to Jesus and making Christlike disciples. However, there has been a breakdown in spiritual knowledge in our culture. For us in the 21st century, to have a lasting legacy, we must re-teach and remind people of God's basic truths. We must not forget what God has done in the past and continue to be obedient to the greatest commandment and the great commission. We are reminded of how God worked mightily through John Wesley, Billy Graham, and many others. And we pray for him to continue his work with us!
