Pleasant listen
This book was a pleasant listen, which I wanted to hear the conclusion of but the storyline was a little slow and the characters didn't capture me quite as much as perhaps in a Katie Flynn novel. It's set after the Second World War, and the story does jump about quite frequently in terms of the timeline. Without giving away any of the storyline, it was intriguing hearing how a small community in the sixties dealt with gossip and what was considered a big deal back then that isn't now. There are some likeable characters but they often got left behind as the story picked back up in the present time. A little predictably in ending perhaps, but glad I listened to the finish.
