Tony and Chris take Evangelization 101 a step further with Evangelization 103! We discuss the general rubric of the evangelization process as it generally happens in a step-by-step format. Although there are infinite ways in which the Holy Spirit can use to bring others to Christ, it is often helpful to have a general evangelization outline which we can refer to for guidance during our personal evangelization efforts!

Tony and Chris record a live show at the 2013 Midwest Catholic Family Conference. The topic of the show is the 7 ‘Pillars’ of Effective Evangelization. These 7 pillars provide us with a solid foundation which we must have in order to effectively evangelize others. The 7 pillars are: Prayerful, Invitational, Hospitable, Inspirational, Sacramental, Formational, & Missonal.

Tony and Chris discuss urban mission work with guest Andy Churray. Andy has worked extensively with ‘Dirty Vagabond Ministries’ which is a Catholic youth missionary program targeting marginalized young people in urban areas of the nation. Chris Stewart welcomes back special guest James Bitting back to the show. James is currently the Program Coordinator for Catechist Formation, working for the Office of Faith Formation in the Catholic Diocese of Wichita. Chris and James discuss the biblical story of the ‘Road to Emmaus’ found in Luke 24:13. The Road to Emmaus story contains a deep message of evangelization, and is a story in which we can learn much from our Lord’s instruction to his disciples on the road to Emmaus.

Tony and Chris talk about the 2013 Midwest Catholic Family Conference (MWCFC) with Kevin Reagan, who is a director and one of the founding members of the MWCFC. The Catholic Family Conference is a wonderful witness of the Catholic faith and there are great activities all weekend for all members of the family. Keynote speakers this year will be Tim Staples and Patrick Coffin with many other great speakers also. Plus, Casting Nets will be performing a live show on Saturday at 12:30pm. The MWCFC takes place at Century II in Wichita, KS the weekend of August 2nd-4th.

Chris Stewart welcomes special guest James Bidding to the show to discuss catechesis. James is currently the Program Coordinator for Catechist Formation, working for the Office of Faith Formation in the Catholic Diocese of Wichita. James is extremely knowledgeable about catechesis, having graduated and obtained his Masters degree in Theology and Christian Ministry with a concentration in catechetics from Franciscan University. Chris and James take an in-depth look at catechesis by defining catechesis, what catechesis is meant to accomplish, and how we can use catechesis properly to maximize our evangelization efforts.

Tony and Chris finish up the two-part series on the Beatitudes. In this series, we discuss the remaining four beatitudes, and how these beatitudes affect our own personal evangelization efforts and our sharing the Gospel message with others. Although there are many resources available to study the beatitudes, we discuss the beatitudes in a practical way in which they can be applied to the New Evangelization.

Tony and Chris begin a two-part series focused on the Beatitudes. The Beatitudes are characteristics that are present in any Christian, and each one of these Beatitudes must be a part of our Evangelization message to others.
