February 11, 2019The Bright SessionsToday we’re here to talk to you about an amazing and one of my personal favorites The Bright Sessions. The show revolves around a group of adults and several young adults that all share a special attribute they all have a supernatural abilities in some form. Yes I know it sounds so cliche from today's world but somehow Lauren Shippen the creator has gone beyond what could of been a TV knockoff and made a vast world that feels so real. In this day and age we are so skeptical of the people running our government and wonder who’s truly behind it all and what they’re hiding. Our Government has a division in charge of these A Typical people and a normal therapist that is charged with helping them fit in to our society with the best of her ability. From scorned lovers to blossoming high school romance and even a time traveling romance this show covers it all and just like in life you fall into a click and mingle within it. From learning about each patient of Dr. Bright's we learn about aspects of their personal life through the series. The main story line seems to of concluded but Lauren has made nods to a new series or spin off and still releases occasional patient clips. If you’re looking for a top tier story look no further and maybe if we’re lucky the tease of exploring other aspects of The Bright Sessions in a new spin off series will come true and if it does you’ll hear about it here first on podcast Junkie. If you enjoy this episode please take a moment to follow The Bright Sessions on social media and subscribe to them wherever you're listening to Podcast Junkie. The Bright SessionsTwitterFacebookPodcast JunkieTwitterFacebookInstagram...more8minPlay

January 07, 2019BronzevilleWelcome to Bronzeville a corner of Chicago ran by African Americans for the betterment of the African Americans back in the 1940’s. Bronzeville was a place where African Americans could prosper. They had this thing called “Running The Numbers” which in today’s world we’d call the Lottery. This is a HIGHLY scripted and theatrical show which reminds me of the radio drama’s my grandparents loved. Bronzeville is the story of Jimmy Tillman which is on the run and ends up in Bronzeville. Taking a place as a foot Soldier for the Copelands.
