Episode 70 of Cat Crave Radio has arrived! There is a little news from our Carolina Panthers but the start of training camp will be here in only 11 days - then we can all rejoice at the return of football!

The trip we began through the blogosphere, checking in with Panthers bloggers everywhere, brings us David Scercy of Panther Coalition. Of course, we got his opinions of Julius Peppers and just how he feels the ‘09 season will go for the Panthers.

Boom or Bust returns as David stuck around with us for a few minutes. He got the same ten guys we gave last week’s guest so we hope you’re keeping score.

There’s a Rant or Rave also. Call this one the random edition. Some of the news lately is too strange to be a lie so we had to dive in.

And, finally, because Michael Vick is no longer in prison and is awaiting word from the commish on his NFL future, we checked in with a number of talking heads to get their take on what the league should do about him.

The news from our Carolina Panthers was slow this week. Okay, it was nonexistent! Let’s just say that no news is good news.

With the middle of July comes a renewed interest for so many in fantasy football. We welcomed Joe Dexter of Fantasy CPR to the show to discuss the Panthers and a few of their players. Where do they rank? What can be expected of them in 2009?

Matt Bowen of National Football Post also joined us again this week. As a former player, Matt is an invaluable guest. His insights are second to none. He gives us some feedback on our Panthers and even tells us what it was like to face a John Fox team during his playing days. It’s an interesting conversation.

Sometimes, we have to throw something in that will get some feedback. We did that this week when we went out and got another clip from the man that Panthers fans seem to love to hate.

This past week saw the end to the Julius Peppers saga for the Carolina Panthers - finally! And there was news other than that, believe it or not.

We tried something different this week. We invited bloggers for rival teams to join us for some smack talk. Two of them took the bait. Dustin Staggers of The Pewter Plank representing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Sean McNally of Blogging Dirty representing the Atlanta Falcons joined us. The New Orleans Saints couldn’t provide us with a blogger brave enough to take part.

The segment followed a simple format - we ask a question and they ask a question followed by one minute of smack talk. Check it out especially since we took the liberty of laying it on thick.

We also threw in a Rant Or Rave. Our topic this week - Twitter and its prevalent use among some NFL players.

Our old friend Nick Yeoman is still being prevented from joining us thanks to technical issues. But don’t forget his video blogs over on You Tube!
