Researchers say a recently-identified chemical compound called BCP found in cannabis and other aromatic plants can calm your mind, relieve chronic pain, and produce a host of “remarkable pharmacological effects”

Hailed by natural medicine advocates for its many reported therapeutic properties, cannabidiol [canna-bih-DIE-ol] (CBD) oil has soared in sales to become one of the health food industry’s hottest dietary supplements. Now, researchers at Bonn University have discovered a powerful new molecule naturally occurring in cannabis and other aromatic herbs. “We have discovered that the presence of BCPs in our daily diet is critical for overall wellness and optimal health,” says medicinal plant expert Dr. Cass Ingram, author of The Cannabis Cure. “These compounds are needed to keep the neurological pathways open and functioning in all key organ systems, including the brain, spinal cord, thyroid gland, adrenal glands, ovaries, testes, heart, spleen, intestines, and lymphatic cells.”

Don’t pick up that phone.

Americans have been plagued with an increasing number of robocalls — and the government can’t do anything about it.

Both the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) are closed due to the government shutdown, which means Americans can’t file complaints on FCC or FTC websites and regulators are unable to investigate. In the last few months, the FCC has slapped some of the worst serial offenders with multimillion-dollar fines.

The FTC’s website for its National Do Not Call Registry now redirects to the message: “Due to the government shutdown, we are unable to offer this website service at this time.”

Consumers can’t add their numbers to the list and telemarketers cannot refer to the list before making their calls.

Scammers have even begun using the government shutdown itself to target Americans, the Washington Post reported.
