    About Allan K. Patch:
Retired USN Captain Allan Patch grew up in Plymouth, Mass where he developed a fascination
with the heritage of our nation. Adding sciences to his interest in history, Allan earned a BS in
biology from Boston College and a DMD from Tufts University. He then spent over two decades
in the Navy, deployed in both Navy hospitals and in active duty with the Marine Corps; and
entered private dental practice while serving in the Naval Reserve.
Allan Patch’s fast paced adventure novels bring history to life in the Apollo series.
Passage At Delphi is the first novel in the series exploring the confluence of the past,
present, and future with ordinary people tossed into extraordinary situations. Delphi’s
Chosen continues the adventure...but now the characters are volunteers rather than
victims. He invites readers along for the thrilling ride and explores the difference
between heroism and celebrity in the context of past and present culture.
Passage At Delphi and Delphi’s Chosen are available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and
    at www.akpatchauthor.com.

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-says-border-troops-could-hit-15k-surprising-045505456--politics.html
The president announced on Wednesday that he was considering deploying up to 15,000 troops to the U.S.-Mexican border in response to the still far-off caravans — roughly double the number the Pentagon said it currently plans for a mission whose dimensions are shifting daily. And he has threatened that those who do enter will be housed in "tent cities" he plans to build while their cases are processed.
Trump and other administration officials have long encouraged those seeking asylum to come through legal ports of entry. But many migrants are unaware of that guidance, and official border crossings have grown increasingly clogged. Immigration officials have turned away asylum-seekers at ports of entry because of overcrowding, telling them to return at a later date. Backlogs have grown especially bad in recent months at crossings in California, Arizona and Texas, with people generally waiting five weeks to claim asylum at San Diego's main crossing and sleeping out in the open for days at a time.–Yahoo

Segment idea--7 Keys of a Great Culture Deck: The New Secret Weapon for Startups and High-Growth Companies / Expert Tips and Advice
I’m contacting you with a segment idea about the most important secret weapon for any startup or high-growth company today — a culture deck.
The Big Idea: Netflix. Hubspot. Patreon. LinkedIn. Valve. Besides being among the most admired companies in the world, these firms all have well-defined, ahead-of-the-pack cultures. They don’t just create a culture, however. They craft culture decks and other vital materials to convey their values, mission, vision and purpose inside as well as outside the organization.
Why It Matters: Culture is critical to the success of companies. Deloitte found that 94% of executives and 88% of employees believe it’s important to business success. Yet 9 out of 10 CEOs don’t leverage their culture as a competitive advantage — the one competitive advantage they have complete control over. A culture deck is the most effective way to transmit that culture, resulting in tangible payoffs — from better hires and employee performance to more inspired investors and clients.
Key Messages: In Culture Decks Decoded: Transform Your Culture into a Visible, Conscious and Tangible Asset (CCF Publishing, Nov. 8, 2018), startup and growth company culture expert Bretton Putter looks at outstanding culture decks created by top organizations. Any company can look at these culture decks and find the concepts that work.
    He can also discuss:
How a strong, pervasive culture helps companies maintain their missions and strategy.
How companies can use a culture deck to best present their unique culture to the world.
Why the most-loved firms all share a vibrant, intentional culture.
Why the Netflix culture deck was a gamechanger, and how other companies are following suit.
Why it’s so important to talk about “how we work around here.”
How to create a culture deck that can scale as your company expands.
The Source: Bretton Putter is a leading expert on startup and high-growth company culture. As Managing Partner of a global executive search firm, he sourced CxOs, VPs and Directors for more than 400 startups and high-growth companies. He is the founder and CEO of CultureGene, a company culture consultancy, writes a popular blog on culture-driven companies, is a sought-after speaker, and a contributor to Forbes. His new book is Culture Decks Decoded: Transform Your Culture Into A Visible, Conscious And Tangible Asset. Lea

Following a move to the Twin Cities from his home state of Arkansas, Thomas Pendarvis met Jared Wagner through a mutual friend and American Revival was officially formed in 2010.
The first offering came one year later in the form of a their debut full length record "The Worst Is Over Now" which received critical acclaim and earned the title of best local record by Minneapolis/St. Paul weekly news source City Pages.
After some member changes to the rhythm section and evolving their sound into more of an indie rock force and less of a rootsy country/americana hybrid, they anonymously dropped "The Scotch Sessions" before taking an indefinite hiatus.
Now back and better than ever the band is excited to announce the long awaited release of their new full length disc entitled "The North Star", coming fall 2018.
