  • AK Patch 7/20/2017
About Allan K. Patch: Retired USN Captain Allan Patch grew up in Plymouth, Mass with a family history that dates back to coming over from England in 1623; leading to his fascination with the heritage of our nation. Allan earned a BS in biology from Boston College and a DMD from Tufts University. He then spent over two decades in the Navy, deployed in both Navy hospitals and in active duty with the Marine Corps; and had a private dental practice while serving in the Naval Reserve. Allan Patchâ??s fast paced adventure novels bring history to life in the Delphi series. Passage At Delphi is the first novel in the series exploring the confluence of the past, present, and future with ordinary people tossed into extraordinary situations. Delphiâ??s Chosen continues the adventure...but now the characters are volunteers rather than victims. He invites readers along for the thrilling ride and explores the difference between heroism and celebrity in the context of past and present culture. Passage At Delphi and Delphiâ??s Chosen are available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and at www.akpatchauthor.com.

  • Expert: Citing Recusal, Trump Says He Wouldnâ??t Have Hired Sessions As AG
TRUMP TURNING ON HIS ATTORNEY GENERAL? MUELLER ON THE MOVE... "President Trump slammed his own attorney general on Wednesday, claiming he would never have hired Jeff Sessions for the Cabinet position if Trump had known Sessions would recuse himself from the Russia investigation. â??Sessions should have never recused himself,â?? Trump said during an interview with The New York Times. â??And if he was going to recuse himself he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else.â?? Trump continued to gripe about Sessions, one of his earliest and staunchest supporters during the bruising Republican primary campaign. â??Jeff Sessions takes the job, gets into the job, recuses himself, which frankly I think is very unfair to the president,â?? Trump told the Times." READ MORE: nypost.com/2017/07/19/trump-i-wouldnt-have-hired-sessions-if-i-knew-hed-recuse-himself/

  • Trump Ends Covert Aid to Syrian Rebels Trying to Topple Assad
President Trump has ended the clandestine American program to provide arms and supplies to Syrian rebel groups, American officials said, a recognition that the effort was failing and that the administration has given up hope of helping to topple the government of President Bashar al-Assad. The decision came more than a month ago, the officials said, by which time the effort to deliver the arms had slowed to a trickle. It was never publicly announced, just as the beginnings of the program four years ago were officially a secret, authorized by President Barack Obama through a finding that permitted the C.I.A. to conduct a deniable program. News of the troublesome program soon leaked out. It joins similar failed efforts to deliver arms and money to groups seeking to overthrow governments that Washington found noxious, most famously the Kennedy administrations disastrous effort to do away with the government of Fidel Castro in Cuba.
