This Sunday we looked at the roles of a pastor to better understand all they do for God and us. We also need to understand their hearts so we also looked at some qualities of servant leaders and how our pastors embody those traits. Lastly we explored how we, the congregation, can participate in showing honor to our pastors. Remember that honoring our pastors isn't just for pastor appreciation day, so be intentional throughout the year in finding ways to show them honor, appreciation and respect.

"God is our loving, kind, gracious heavenly Father. He welcomes us to come boldly before His throne (Heb. 4:16). But let's never forget, He is Almighty, Awesome, Holy, All Powerful God! And He is jealous for you. He says, "Have no other gods or idols or priorities before Him" because life is in Him alone. Today, let's honor our Father and our Almighty God!

Bubbles are fun. Bubbles are cool. BUT, bubbles can be tossed around by the slightest winds. When facing trials, difficulties, and a world culture, the last thing you want to be is a bubble. So what's the answer? What can help ground us? One thing, God's Word. We need to be fully committed to the entire Word. Take time to read it today!

Over the last several weeks we've been emphasizing maturing in our faith. Last week I felt the Lord ask me a question, "What is the goal of maturity?" He led me to Phil. 3 where Paul says he considers all things trash in light of knowing Christ. Knowing Christ. Experiencing God. Stop. Take time today to sit with God, receive His love, express your praise. That's the prize of maturity.

Don’t be selfish and try to impress others. Consider others higher than yourself. You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. What humble test is God giving you this week?

We see the Lord stirring us to extravagantly show His love and share the fullness of our faith (His Commission). Pastor Barry gave the message on the fourth vision for Catalyst 2.0 with special sharing from the younger generation.
