As we celebrate Vision Sunday, Pastor Rolland (and several special guests) bring an inspiring word from Numbers 13 and 14.
How many times do you submit to a lack of confidence in yourself? How many times do opportunities pass you by because you lack the boldness to seize them? The answer: far too many on both accounts. Did you know that God desires you to have a godly confidence and boldness in yourself? It is not a confidence of arrogance or a boldness of haughtiness. They are Christ’s boldness and confidence lived out in us through the power of His Holy Spirit. Every believer has the potential; many just choose not to claim it.
People that are truly somebody, learn that to be somebody one needs to make a difference
with one's life. Christ not only can enable you to do this, but He expects you to do this. He
expects you to do this not by investing in the stock market, but by investing in the people
around you. The people who make the greatest difference are not those who are consumed
with writing their own letter, but are consumed with helping to write the letter of others
through the love of Christ. That is a part of your calling as a follower of Christ, to help write
the success stories of other people around you.
Julie Coon, of the Madison County nonprofit, Kid Talk, gave a community presentation at Catalyst Church to help parents navigate the complicated world of technology as we aim to keep our children safe in a digital world.
In today's message from 2 Corinthians 2:14-17, Pator Rolland Daniels challenges us to see ourselves not as the world sees us, but as God sees us. God sees you as triumphant in your walk through life and your walk with Him. Listen and learn how God’s perception and belief in you is drastically different that your perception and belief in yourself.
Easter! Sometimes it is hard to believe even what you have just seen. That was the case for those
who found the empty tomb. They were confused and bewildered as they tried to sort through
what had just taken place. Just when they thought things could not get more complicated, an
angel speaks to them declaring, “He has risen!” It is the declaration of Easter and it is our
declaration as believers!
