We have finally aired the final podcast of 2023, and what better way to cap off a year than with an individual who has been a great resource for the community in San Diego, and the would be my good friend, Mary.

I was very thankful that Mary wanted so share about what inspired her to want to start being that resource for San Diego, but also I was very thankful that she came on the show and was very outgoing and sharing her life and challenges she went through along the way.

We also share fun stories of how we met, and also more importantly, the plans for Mary with her process as The Resourceful Hub continues to grow.

It is truly incredible what Catanation Studios has done for San Diego, and the people who have been found and heard here, and if anyone would like finding a person with great knowledge on what and who to find here in San Diego, Mary is your person.

Luis Martinez joins the show on this week on Catanation Studios.

Luis  went from growing up in Queens, New York to coming to California and perusing his passion of film making and turning that dream into a reality. You can currently see his filmography on https://www.2amburrito.com/

Following the pandemic, not a lot was able to be done, and in the process Mi Gente Show Podcast was created. As well as creating a podcast, Luis became the owner of a tattoo shop called SoCal Tattoo on Main St San Diego 92113.

After 100 Episodes and a brief hiatus, Catanation Studios comes with a new episode and a brand new guest, Barbara Gonzalez.

Barbara is a local artist in San Diego who in the last few months decided to make this her art her full time job. At first started as black and white pieces, Barbara shares about the art she creates now, such as hearts, Mexican culture, and even her mental health.

Aside from that, Barbara will also talk about being a Catrina for Día de los Muertos, but also her involvement now in pop up events, including SoCal Tattoo where she and I officially met.

We finally did it, after 100 Podcast we are here to celebrate this incredible achievement. I was beyond fortunate to gather at least one individual from every Season, including Catanation En Español. Thanks to Ady Spellman, we were able to improvise and create this incredible show.

We share about the experience of my first ever pop-up event which featured Foodshed Inc., Vecinos De City Heights, Chicanalilly, El Borrego Restaurant, TIKA Oaxaca, The Heartful Truth, Isa's Sweets, PinaArt73, & Sweets By Victoria. Alongside all of them, we also got special visits during the event from other returning guests, such as Arelí Hernández, Yanelle Ruelas, & Ines Nefzi.

While not being able to appear on this podcast, City Heights CDC are to thank for sharing the space with me, both Sonia Jimenez & Ranielle Cunanan were to thank for Catanation Studios being opened to Tierra Central.

After seven years away from Chicago, Isabel Rosales comes to San Diego and starts Isa's Sweets.

Isabel has plan parties, weddings, among other public events. Isabel has a huge passion and commits to her work, and share about the joy it brings to her seeing people's faces when they see her final product, but also shares the joy of being able to work with her kids from home.

Along with Isa's Sweets, Isabel shares about her past life in her abusive marriage and talk about the help and programs she was involved, and it was heartwarming to know this show is allowing more people to come and share these stories.
