On this talk; Lee talks about how God's perspective transcends generations and He has the big picture and everything is unto a purpose if you are after His heart.

Every generation has a purpose and a mandate and to discover it we must partner with God!

This week, Tom introduces the Servant Song series, and looks at the idea of Jesus as the Suffering Servant.

So often we miss what God is doing because we have many pre-conceived ideas about how He should act.

We need to be careful not to get ahead of where God is, and instead, seek Him first, before moving off in potentially the wrong direction.

On Father's Day; Tom beautifully unpacks how Jesus models 2 relationships for us. A relationship of a bridegroom to a bride and also, one of perfect dependance on a Father that can be trusted at all times!

As a church, we have been doing a Bible study on “The Lord’s Prayer”.

This week; we brought it into our service and we had a group discussion based on the statement “Yours is the Kingdom the Power and the Glory”

Based on Luke 23; Tom talks on how key it is to present the full gospel; to know what we were saved from and launched into and how to navigate when difficulties come our way!

This week, Josh looks at the journey of learning to remind ourselves of God's truth and power in our lives - through testimony, remembrance and declaration.

This week, Tom teaches on Pentecost.  He first covers the context of Pentecost as both restriction and unity.  Pentecost came at a time of feasting, not of fasting. 

This is how we are to engage with Holy Spirit - to feast and be filled!

He then unpacked three core foundations of who Holy Spirit is (courtesy of the late Adrian Rogers): 

1) Holy Spirit is a promise to be received 

2) Holy Spirit is a power to be released

3) Holy Spirit is a person to be recognised

This week, we had Russell Simonot as our guest speaker. 

Russell taught on the need for us to not 'sit down' in the valley of disappointment, but rather, to continue to walk through it. 

He shared three keys for navigating disappointment as part of this message.

This week, Tom teaches out of Ezekiel 47 on the river of God. 

Ezekiel saw a river. Ezekiel stepped into a river. Ezekiel surrendered to the river. 
Each of us has to decide to intentionally step in to, and ultimately surrender to the river of God, so that He may take us where He wills. All the while we stay ‘knee deep’, we retain control - it is only when we fully immerse ourselves that we can fully surrender to His will. 

This week, Tom teaches out of Matthew 5: 1 - 11.

We go through the Beatitudes, but first, spend time looking at the structure of the text, and explore the clues there that help us interpret this pericope. Instead of seeing these as 8 distinct ideas, Tom illustrates how the Beatitudes should be viewed as two distinct groups. The first speaking to our relationship to God as believers, and the second highlighting how our conduct should be towards others. Ultimately, without the first set in place, we can never hope to see the second set come to fruition.
