The world has changed drastically since we last had Patrick Carpenter on the show. Our previous encounter premiered just weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the world -- and with it, the music industry as we knew it.

Nonetheless, the Mississippi native has persisted, going inward and emerging from the pandemic with a new album's worth of songs. Not to mention, he's still part of the football program at Lipscomb Academy with Super Bowl-winning quarterback Trent Dilfer, where they took their team all the way to the state championship, and even got an extra motivational boost from a certain seven-time Super Bowl champion.
