In this episode Tammy will be talking to Emma Langton about how to maintain your emotional resilience while facing pressures at work. Emma draws from her lengthy experience in the corporate world, and as a workplace trainer, to discuss: the misconceptions about emotional resilience and what it actually means, how to restore your resilience when it's depleted and the importance of creating and leaning on your support network when you’re heading towards burnout.
Welcome to series 3 of the Training 4 Influence Podcast. This series, as requested by you, our listeners, will be focused on emotional resilience, how to build and maintain it, and why it’s so important for those working in the criminal justice, social care and charity sector.
Without emotional resilience frontline professionals are at risk from suffering from burnout, vicarious trauma, and significant mental health issues - we’ll be sitting down with guests, in different job roles, to hear real stories of both avoiding burnout and rebuilding after it. Our aim is to share positive thoughts and ideas that will inspire, protect and motivate frontline professionals.
Emma Langton is a leadership coach and wellbeing trainer who works with business leaders and their teams to help them reduce stress and improve resilience - enabling them to improve in areas of leadership, performance, and wellbeing.
She has spent over 20 years in training and communication businesses and over that time has built extensive corporate and training experience which has allowed her to understand both real life pressures and how to make a difference that changes mindset, enhances performance and looks after wellbeing.
Emma is a straight-talking, engaging trainer who shares her knowledge of psychology and neuroscience alongside practical tips and advice so that business leaders and their teams can implement strategies with ease.
We hope you enjoy listening to this discussion about why, after experiencing burnout and watching many others do too, both Tammy and Emma believe that developing and maintaining emotional resilience is integral in delivering a better service in the workplace.
