Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe

Just as the wind can change quickly, so too do we see St. Peter change dramatically since Good Friday, and we see bread and wine changed into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. What a difference a God makes!

Finding the Risen Jesus depends on where we look and whether we look. But don't worry--He's there.

Lazarus did not live forever. Nor will we or the ones we love. Then again, we were made for more than this world.

To see Christ is to perceive two things, each equally important: our need for a savior and the beauty of the earth, ready to be redeemed.

Just like on an airplane, we carry too much on our heart. Jesus wants to take away our baggage, if we're willing to let it go.

A Christian claims that all of human history is translated into, transfigured by, the Christ. The meaning of the end has been revealed, yet we need the rest of time to comprehend the clue.

The devil will place all kinds of sweet things in front of us. telling us the same lies he told Adam and Eve: The Church doesn't know what it's talking about...this will not harm you...this will make you truly free.

What does God guarantee? There's no promise to still the storm. Yet, God never turns away from us. So, when our hearts turn to heaven, God's heart will be with us. But are hearts straining toward each other in the storm enough? Yes. In God, all storms pass. All sorrows end. And only hearts remain.

Contrary to what we might hear, it is possible (it's God's plan, in fact) to live our Catholic Faith and still enjoy all the awesomeness of this life.

As the Cathedral goes through a time of transition, we do well to remember St. Paul's words, that our faith rests "not on human wisdom, but on the power of God."
