In this weeks Podcast I am chatting about Facial Recognition cameras and how they are going to be used in some locations.  I chat through thoughts from other people on this and what they would primarily be useful for.

Freshly fringed out, having returned from Edinburgh yesterday, this weeks podcast is about my recent trip to the Edinburgh Fringe what I saw and adored, what I didn't.  There are also a few restaurant recommendations for you.  The Fringe is on until 25th August, so if you have chance I would highly recommend going to see some of the shows.

On this weeks podcast I am cashing in on the whole Cold Play Kiss Cam story.  I have a look at the whole story in the media, lessons we can learn from them and that rather than being horrible to the couple who made a mistake, had an affair and got caught, which lots of people do, we should check in on them and ask them if they are ok.

This weeks podcast looks at dating a guy in the USA, how to US men compare to UK women and I have a look at the statistics on how likely long distance relationship are likely to work.  I was surprised at my findings, so I have a look at why that might be.

This week saw the sentencing of the notorious Sycamore Tree Gap Fellers.

I have a look at why there was a global outcry and ask was it because the tree was famous and because we knew about it we all felt connected to it.

I also ask the question is it right that the felling of a tree evoked more reactions than the death of a baby that was also in the news this week.

I look at what you can and can't do when it comes to felling a tree and share some of my own personal experience on this.  

I also question the length of the sentence in comparison to a death by dangerous driving sentence that was handed out this week.

I recently reconnected with an old school friend whose last memory of me was wearing braces on my teeth, being engaged and planning to marry my childhood sweetheart.

Have a listen to find out how that worked out and I look at the statistics of how likely it is that a teenage romance will last for a whole lifetime.

Following on from last weeks Podcast I was interested to know if it worked the same way for Men, do they Fall in Love with Women in Prison?  I was really interested by the answer that I discovered, which leads me to chat about how men fall in love and what is more important to them and how women fall in love. Then I chat about how as women we should be looking out for behaviour actions and not just what men tell us,  after all they might be saying what it is that they think we need to hear...!

This weeks podcast looks at a few examples of Women who have had relationships and marriages with men who were in prison and I use the Documentary Met While Incarcerated as an example.  I have a look at the three different types of relationships and provide feedback on the reasons why these women may have opted for this relationship choice and what happened, was there a fairy tale ending or do offenders always re offend?

Having worked in a variety of different roles and communicated to a International cohort of people on all different levels in my various roles, I sometimes forget that not everyone has been as lucky as I have.  

This experience has allowed me to develop effective communication skills which I use in my everyday life, so when I find young person who I don't know that well suddenly opening up to me and sharing her life's difficulties while out horse riding, I wonder what it is about me that enables people to speak freely and openly to me.

As we approach Fathers Day I wanted to dedicate a podcast to my late father in law, from his favourite daughter in law. I was the only one, but that gives you and idea of his humour and there was always a lot of laughter when the two of us were in a room together.  

Grief can affect us at any moment even if its been a while, we can push it aside and not really come to terms with it, called denial.  This week I share my story and chat through what the five stages of grief are.  I didn't experience all of them, just some of them, but the way a person copes with the death of a loved one is different depending on who it is and on who you are.  The important thing is to get to acceptance so that you can remember them in a positive way, I remember the good times and accept that they are not here anymore but that you can always find them in your heart.
