In today's episode, we share some of the talk shared with students from Ashland University on September 30th, 2023. Quiet. Prayer. Restoration. Being quiet to communicate with our God. Prayer is more important than breathing. Restoration of the relationship we have with god after we sin.

We were honored to have a special guest for an interview at our studio, a young man who, when we first met I was one of about 1,000 in attendance at a fundraiser. Our guest was asked to speak on the Eucharist. What came forth from Billy was something that was at once fundamental, childlike, and spiritually inspirational. Listen for his approach to our God and the response that followed. You will understand. May we approach our God in the same manner as Billy. 

Friends, today we share an interview with a young man who shares from his heart how he was chained. Understand that he was not off the proverbial deep end. His life was normal for a post-college young man but he began to ask God the bigger questions including; Who are you, God? Now, he spends his time in the Truth and his exhilaration about Truth is quite apparent as you will understand as you listen.

Showing up; being present for people

Today's Gospel has Jesus being quite clear about the instructions for the Apostles, for us. He commissions them to go out and cure the sick, raise the dead, and drive out demons. Do we think Jesus is talking to us here and do we think we can cure the sick? In today's podcast, we discuss how real this directive is for us and how we are called to minister to lepers but lest we think this leprosy condition is purely external we need to rethink what Jesus means here. Who has leprosy? Put another way, who sins? 

The Solemnity of Corpus Christi, The Body of Christ is the greatest gift to us from God for it is Himself. We have a choice (free will) to accept or reject what Jesus says; that this is truly Himself in the consecrated Host and the consecrated wine which, when the Holy Spirit is called down by the Priest, becomes the actual Body and Blood of our Lord. If we would accept Jesus in THIS teaching we will have peace and eternal life in the Kingdom where a place is reserved for each of us.

Friends, in today's podcast we give Jesus the title of The Great Remainder. It is the Ascension of our Blessed Lord which represents a testing of our faith. Jesus is going but remaining. We read in the Gospel of Matthew that the Apostles doubted. We all have doubts and Jesus knows this all too well but we persevere, we have faith, that the words spoken by Jesus are all true. He commissions the Apostles to "Go" but it was literally spoken as, "Go, therefore..." In other words, the "therefore" gives it purpose as it is a response to what has happened in the past. We, therefore, have as our purpose in word and deed the sharing of the incredible good news of the Gospel.

In today's podcast, we explain how God has laid out for us every aspect of our lives and His natural laws. Our activities are actually divine appointments. Things don't happen by chance. Unlike a frenzied orchestra conductor, God is not frenzied about what is going on and we would do well to work God's agenda as opposed to our own which is a great anxiety reducer. Jesus gives us the way to have no anxiety in today's Gospel; "Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me."
