Catholicism 101 is an episode that is aimed at providing a broad summary of the Catholic tradition in one hour.
It addresses the questions: how do we know there is a God? If there is a God, how has God revealed Godself? What is God’s message to humanity? Why is Jesus so important? How does the Church that Jesus’ founded develop it’s beliefs? What does all this mean for you and me?!

Suicide and euthanasia raise the question, do we have the right to choose to die? It was once thought that those who choose death commit mortal sin as their last act and therefore cannot be saved. In this episode we explore the morality of suicide and euthanasia, we address the question of salvation after suicide or euthanasia, and finish with an interview with Monica, who walked through the pain of watching her terminally ill father suffer and eventually pass away (May he Rest In Peace).

The Catholic Church makes the distinction between who we are compared with what we do, even if they are related. This is an important distinction when we explore the Church’s teaching on same sex attraction. In this episode we examine the Church’s teaching, and then interview a same-sex attracted Catholic on her experience of same sex orientation in light of Catholic teaching.

This episode explores the question of the value of human life. There are various philosophies of the human person that typically are informed by the cognitive ability of humanity compared with other species. Is cognitive ability the determining factor for human value, and if so, is an animal with a high IQ more valuable than someone with very low IQ?

This episode explores the question: does morality change? In a world where many think that what is right and wrong is an individual choice, we examine the concept of moral relativism and how it helps us to understand those with differing perspectives, but nonetheless does not change the reality of what is objectively right and wrong.
