The 10th National Eucharistic Congress came to a conclusion Sunday, July 21. But as pilgrims including a delegation from the Diocese of Buffalo departed from Indianapolis, they were sent with marching orders to share the message of the Eucharist back home. WNY Catholic Audio spoke to some of the delegates as they traveled home Sunday.

The 10th National Eucharistic Congress has come to an end, and the 31 pilgrims aboard the Diocese of Buffalo's chartered bus are heading home, exhilarated but perhaps exhausted.

Friday, July 19 brought another day of adoration, prayer, and spiritual re-energizing at the National Eucharistic Congress. The approximately 30 pilgrims who traveled with the Diocese of Buffalo shared a dinner, and some shared their thoughts with WNY Catholic Audio about how this experience is going so far.

An estimated 50 guests attending a veneration of St. Gianna Molla's relics were given the opportunity to actually touch them, with no protective glass or other surface in the way. Dr. Gianna Emanuela Molla was among those in attendance, as she continued a visit to Western New York celebrating the legacy of her mother, the patron saint of physicians, mothers, and unborn children.

Teens affiliated with parishes in the Diocese of Buffalo's Parish Family #7 have just completed a five-day faith formation program which allowed them to learn about different perspectives, some local Catholic faith history, and about service. WNY Catholic Audio was there as the participants learned, for example, about poverty which exists in their own community and the need to take it on.
