Hello everyone! To get you ready to get you and your family ready to receive the word of God more fully this Sunday at Mass, my homily will focus on the importance of faith leading us to gratitude. The cleansing of the Ten Lepers and the return of only one who offers Jesus thanks and praise, signals to us that the miracles of God are, in fact, personal acts of love. God is not a genie: We are not his master, and he does not grant our wishes! Real faith is relational, and it leads to gratitude. Check out my suggestion at the end for practicing gratitude with your family!

Hello everyone! It's the PhDeacon here. Today's homily is about giving God the space to allow his plan for us to unfold. The Prophet Habbakuk reminds us that God's plan takes time, and so we have to be patient. Learning to wait on the Lord is something we all have to learn to do. Also, as the Gospel points out, what's expected of us, as we wait on the Lord, is that we remain faithful to him in the small, everyday things. To help with this, I include, at the end, a simple exercise that you and your family can do together to grow in patience. God bless!
