  • Episode 64 — What Every Teen Should Know About Money

    Send us Fan Mail

Most adults say the same thing when it comes to money: “I wish I had learned this earlier.”

In this episode of Catholic Money Talk, we walk through some of the basic financial principles every young person should understand before stepping into adult life.

We talk about how teens can learn to give, save, and spend wisely, why budgeting matters early, how to build an emergency fund, why buying a car with cash matters, and how to avoid the burden of student loans.

If you have a teenager in your life, this is a great episode to listen to together.

  • Episode 62 - How to live below your means (Original 3/20/23)

    Send us Fan Mail

This is a replay of episode 9. After my last few episodes, I thought offering an episode bringing people back to the basics would serve as a reminder to long-time listeners and a great starter for any new listeners.

We might have heard the phrase "live below your means". But how do we do that? Why do we do that? There are Four main elements to living below your means.
    1. Actively Budget
    2. Eliminate Debt
    3. Prepare for the unexpected
    4. Save for the future
But, why do we do this? It eliminates money stress and puts us in a place to experience the Lord's blessing and enables us to respond to what he is calling us to.
