It ain't just about cattle brands. It's what it says it is: cowboy and other Western stories told by various men sitting mainly around a campfire on the trail. The most authentic cowboy and cattle tales I've ever read. And Adams is an excellent story-teller. If you're interested in the real thing, give Adams a try.

Fictional or not, this is the best portrayal of life in the Old West available! If you read Ike Fudge or Teddy Roosevelt, you find the same ring of authenticity.
Lots of fun & exciting stories!
You can imagine being around the campfires with the cowboys hearing all about their stories while out on cattle drives and their lives in the Old West. I've really been enjoying Andy Adams books.
