Having grown up in Colorado Springs, Sean started college in San Diego, then moved to Boulder to finish school at CU where he graduated with a degree in finance. During that time, he decided that he wanted to mix up his workout routine, and began training Muay Thai at Easton Training Center.

Though he didn’t have any prior martial arts experience, the intensity of the classes and the practical skills he learned in these classes had him hooked immediately. And thus began a storied career, that still feels like its only beginning....

This is a troupe that a group of my friends and I have been laughing at.. It's usually perpetrated by your local cover band on social media right before they drop an atrocious rendition of Lit's "My Own Worst Enemy" at their next show.... "Oh, what a surprise!! Didn't see that one coming!!"

..But in all seriousness, I think about it ("big things coming") a lot in terms of this very podcast. The things that I work on in order to grow the show.

There's something deeply ironic, yet novel, about dropping an episode that goes into the deep details of making this very podcast- but this one (I feel) has an extra level of sincerity in terms of growth, goals, and moving towards a future.

Moreover, this is me personally asking of a favor, and simultaneously "thanking you" for your role in growing the show....

I don't want to be the guy that "cries wolf," but if you've ever supported this show- this would be a prime listening experience and I appreciate every moment you can give to it! :-)

A Texas native, and musical theater graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University- Rebekah Kennedy has already spent a fair amount of time on the big and small screen.
In 2011, she had her first big screen role in the movie Season of the Witch, with Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman. In 2012, she played the lead role in the film House Hunting, with Marc Singer and the great Art LaFleur.
Rebekah has also acted in numerous television series, including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Criminal Minds. She also known for her role as Penny in Netflix's To the Bone and can most recently be seen in the horror thriller- Two Witches.

We talk a lot about “a fighters story”- the mindset that brings them to the big game, the conditioning, the ambition, and we talk a lot about what a fighter (or coach) sacrifices to see that dream through.
What is commonly missed, however, is the impact it has on families.
What’s it like to see a loved one go through training? handle a victory? Or yet, suffer defeat?
How do loved ones feel when seeing that family member inside the octagon? What are their (families) contributions to the process? How does the embrace of that “struggle” shape the person that returns to his/her day by day, after a fight?
What does the legacy of a pro fighter look like? How does it shape the family as a result?

In this episode I speak with Julie Donovan, wife of Elevation Fight Team Coach & owner of High Altitude Martial Arts- and Jess Pauga, wife of recent UFC signee Zac Pauga. We get insight into what their lives are like being a part of this MMA culture and the things that shape what a fighter is really like in the real world.
