We know that Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem where Jesus was born. However, is there something God desires to teach us through the actual journey itself from Nazareth to Bethlehem? How Christmas looks is often time determined by one's perspective - as parent, child, store owner, retail worker, etc. But imagine what Christmas looked like through the eyes of one who was there! This weekend we will be viewing Christmas through the eyes of Mary, the mother of Jesus, in the hope that this will give us a better understanding of Mary, ourselves, and God.

When we think about Christmas we typically remember Mary, Joseph, Jesus, the angels, the shepherds, and the wise men, but what about John the Baptist? As we begin the advent season, we will be looking at an often forgotten character in the Christmas narrative and discover that what John would later say about Jesus the adult Messiah, also applies as we gaze upon Jesus the new born Savior.

At Thanksgiving we often reflect on what we’re thankful for, but do we remember to reflect on the other, maybe even more important question - Who are we grateful to? Join us this weekend as we discover together the answer to both these questions as a part of our weekend worship.
