The Corruption Crime Commission are investigating allegations of serious misconduct in relation to the death of a 16-year-old in Casuarina Detention Centre's notorious Unit 18.

Corrective Services Minister Paul Papalia held a sombre press conference today after the tragic death of the detainee, who was found unresponsive in his cell last week.
