Summary:  We all worship.  The important question is who or what we worship and not whether we worship.  God doesn’t need our worship, but He seeks worshipers so that in love he can give what is best.  The invitation is to engage.  What does it look like?

Summary:  Every creature possesses a thirst deep which longs to be satiated.  Jesus draws a Samaritan woman into conversation at a well, all-the-while ignoring the social divisions of his day to address her real thirst.  Our thirst can teach us about our desire to worship the source of living water.

Summary:  Mary came to offer quiet honor to Jesus’ body, but at dawn, God met her.  At dawn she worships the risen Jesus.  We, too, worship Jesus as the sun of God’s grace and love rises on our lives.

Summary:  In Jesus’ death, God did the impossible. Why?

Summary:  In the darkness of the cross, we remember that Jesus was forsaken so that we never have to be.

Summary:  When do you know if you’ve lost everything?  Even though it seems as if he has, and the scorn of the people are seeking to strip him of his dignity, Jesus has an treasure that cannot be touched.  As he calls us to follow, we have the same gift.

Summary:  Guilt and Innocence run through the stories of Jesus arrest and trials.  These themes run through our human story, too, sometimes tangling together for good or for bad.

Summary:  Our nature wants to lash out when faced with the unjust, hateful, or violent acts of our enemies.  But Jesus reveals a God who heals and loves his enemies.

Summary:  This gospel account finds Jesus’ with his sleepy disciples in his greatest hour of need.  In agony over God’s looming wrath, not to mention his disciples apathy and future scattering, Jesus steadfastly set his heart to prayer and obedience.
