This is a new mini-series of short messages from our Elders and Pastors to remind us

that no matter how dark life might be, God is in control.  We should never lose sight

of His love, grace and Mercy.  He promised to never leave us.  God is Faithful.

 

Pastor Bruce Wong kicks off the first message from Psalm 121.

It is easy for anyone to follow Jesus when things are going well.  It's just that things don't always go well.  We want God to make our lives comfortable, whereas He wants to make our lives holy.  He wants us to be committed to Him through thick and thin.  After all, that's how committed Jesus was to us.  Let's follow Jesus through thick and thin.

This week, we are continuing in the last phrase of our vision statement - "integrating faith with life."  Join us as we explore the intersection of our faith and worry from Matthew 6:25-34.  What does the Bible have to say about worry and how can we apply its truths to our lives, especially in the face of the Coronavirus?  Hear from Pastor Chris as he encourages us to remember who God is and to seek His kingdom first, as a cure for worry.

Today we'll be learning from Colossians 3:1-17 three key practices to help us integrate faith with life.  They are - Embrace our new identity in Christ - Be heavenly minded, setting our hearts and minds on the things that are above, not on things that are on earth - Putting off the old self with its practices and putting on the new self.

In a world where Christians are a minority and where Christian values are increasingly being suppressed, how can we, as God's children, continue to be a beacon of light to the world? IN this episode, Pastor Bruce Wong refers to Psalm 1 to remind us of the importance of being 'Deeply Rooted' in God's Word.

This week, we wrap up our mini-series on "Investing in One Another's Discipleship Journey" by talking about relationships. What does an authentic relationship look like and what are some of the characteristics that help define this kind of relationship? We'll take a look at David and Jonathan's relationship in 1 Samuel to see what we can learn from their friendship. Presented by Pastor Chris Lee.

Deut. 6:1-9 focuses on the “Great Commandment” that encompasses all the other commandments that the Lord gave Israel. The Israelites were to keep it in response to the Lord alone being their God. Christians are to do the same. With his word on our hearts, we can then invest in discipling relationships in fulfillment of Great Commission.
