Join Tasha for a discussion around education and continuous learning. Whether you are interested in an aspect of education in the classroom, in the lecture hall, or in the community room, this will be a time you don't want to miss!
Participants will reflect on authentic, continuous life-long learning, and how we can serve our Rabbi through that process. Whether you want to be a life-long teacher or a life-long learner, we will discuss how you cannot embody one without the other. Bring questions, bring answers, and bring your best teacher joke!

We often think of vocation as connected to “job” or “career,” and while that is one part of God’s call on our lives, we are invited to respond in a much broader manner.
This workshop will include both a personal story of a call to education as a career, along with discussion of the common call to all of us to be perpetual students and perpetual educators. God calls us to keep learning and to keep “passing it on.”

COVID-19 challenged us to reveal what we really believe in, and it changed life away from normal in a way that continues to this day. Trusting God in the face of so much uncertainty requires faith in every area of life and in all kinds of vocations, including laboratory research. Join Ben McFarland, a professor in biochemistry and structural immunology at a Christian university, as he looks back on how God’s nature and faithfulness showed itself through the consistent science of viruses and health, even during this difficult and inconsistent year.
As the classroom and laboratory moved to a computer screen through remote learning, my students and I learned new things about the virus through research into its evolution. This research came from a conviction that God made the world in a way that we can take it apart and, by God’s grace, put it back together again with medicine and vaccines. The students who took part in this process created new knowledge that let us understand more about this virus. God gave us hope and healing, even in unprecedented times, through careful, humble science.

Jesus healed people. Paul was healed as part of his conversion to Christianity. And the whole arc of the gospel is that God is healing and redeeming the world. It is no mistake that in Genesis, God completes his creation by breathing life into a body—our bodies—and therefore, our health matters to God.
So where do we fit into God's story as future healers and healthcare workers? Is there anything unique about working for the health of others as a Christian? In this session, we will explore these questions and more, focusing on health justice and equity, rest and boundaries in healthcare, when medical ethics meet Christian ethics, health systems versus health care, and being a faithful steward of your training and education. Whether you are an aspiring nurse, physician, midwife, pharmacist, physical therapist, or any other member of the healthcare team, or are unsure but asking any of the questions above, you are welcome.

As a society, we have never been more cynical, or more hopeful. We seem to want to escape the world and transform it—all at once. We’ve shifted our trust away from most institutions and leaders. In this crisis of hope, Redemptive Entrepreneurship is the antidote to believing in nothing but ourselves.
Redemptive is leading ventures that reach beyond best practices and ethical baselines. Redemptive is surrendered ambition and cultural renewal for the sake of others. Redemptive is loving God and loving our neighbor by responding to the world’s pressing issues with ambition, ingenuity, and hope.
Join Jon Hart, Partner at Praxis, as he shares how a redemptive mindset and principles can help us winsomely express our faith through the products, services, brands, and things that we "make" through our work—be it as an entrepreneur or as someone who resonates with the entrepreneurial mindset—in business, social enterprise, or nonprofits.
