The clock surely is now running on Joe Biden’s resignation. If promises made yesterday by senior Republican congressmen come to fruition, in less than two months he will personally be the subject of one or more investigations that could lead to criminal indictments.

The most serious line of inquiry would concern evidence that the “Big Guy” has effectively aided and abetted America’s mortal enemy: the Chinese Communist Party. If that’s confirmed, he must be prosecuted for treason, the highest of impeachable crimes and misdemeanors.

In his enfeebled state, it strains credulity that Joe Biden will submit to such an investigation, let alone indictment. In exchange for his prompt resignation, he may seek, or at least receive, a full pardon.

Either way, congressional investigators must ensure that, henceforth, the White House is not occupied by a president compromised by the Chinese Communist Party.
